Heidi had her 4 month well child check-up on Monday. She now weighs 14lbs. 14oz. and is 25 inches long. She is in the 75-90% in both. She is healthy and growing well! At the end of the appointment she got her next set of shots. Of course she screamed and had tears rolling out of her eyes. As soon as she got the first shot I wanted to pick her up and never let her go. It's so tough to hold her down while she is so sad. Luckily the nurse was wonderful and the shots were over within seconds and I could finally pick her up and cuddle her.
On Tuesday she woke up and had a fever as a result of the shots. I called the doctor's office and found out how much Tylenol to give her. She didn't exactly like the flavor of the Tylenol, but the Tylenol did the trick. A few hours later she was back to her happy, giggly self. The first half of the day was tough, she just wanted to be held. After the fever went away she was able to play and have fun again.
The last thing Dr. Deharo said was for us to try to feed her some rice cereal. Boy was that interesting. She did not know what to do with the stuff I was putting in her mouth. Here is a link to her first bites of her cereal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njixXMYCobY
